Stargazing.co is run by Stargazing Properties LLC. Each home you can book here is owned by its own company, and Isham Group LLC manages all of them. In this policy, "we," "us," and "Stargazing" mean these companies working together.

Information you give us. When you book or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, trip dates, number of guests, and anything you tell us in a message.

Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we collect things like the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and how you found us (for example, a link, a search, or a sign at a park). We also count, on our own systems, anonymous visits and the steps of booking (for example opening the calendar or checkout). These counts do not identify you: we never store your IP address or browser details, and we keep the counts for about 13 months.

• To book and manage your stay, including confirmations and arrival details.
• To answer your questions.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To understand which pages and ads work, so we can improve the site.
• To follow the law, including tax and safety rules.

We use trusted companies to run the site and your stay. They only get what they need to do their job:

• Stripe: processes payments.
• Hostaway: manages reservations and sends booking messages.
• Google Analytics: shows us how people use the site.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): the Meta pixel helps us measure and improve our ads.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Mux: plays the videos on the site.

We use Resend to send your receipt. It receives your name, email address, and booking details for that purpose only.

At checkout we use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a real person and not a bot. Cloudflare may see your IP address and basic browser details when it runs this check.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our guests and homes, or if one of our companies is sold or merged.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We use cookies and similar tools to remember how you found us, measure site visits, and measure ads. When you arrive from a link or sign that tells us where you came from (for example, a social post or a sign at a park), we save that source in a cookie and then remove the tracking tags from the address bar. When you arrive, we save in a cookie for 30 days how you first found us: the source, medium and campaign of the link, the first page you opened, and the name of the website that sent you (not the full address). If you book, we keep these with your reservation. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.

• Marketing: you can adjust your ad settings in Facebook and Instagram, and Google offers an opt-out tool for Google Analytics.
• Cookies: use your browser settings to block or delete them.
• Messages: tell us if you would like to stop receiving non-essential messages.
• Your information: email us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. We may need to keep some records, such as reservations and tax records, as the law requires. California residents have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, and correct their information, and we honor them for all guests. We will not treat you differently for using them.

We keep reservation and payment records as long as needed to run our business, handle disputes, and meet tax and legal rules. Other information is kept only as long as it is useful.

We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Bookings are for adults 18 and older. This site is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
